Looking After Yourself

There are three pillars to good health – nutrition, sleep and exercise.

As a business owner juggling family life, I am guilty of neglecting some or all three at various times.  I usually drop exercise first, then sleep and lastly nutrition.  As crazy as life can be, we need to remember to look after ourselves so we can go the distance.  Work may seem important at the time but it is fleeting and we only get one body.

What tips do you have for good health?  Mine are:

  • Menu planning – quick and easy meals
  • Combine activities – catch up with a friend and exercise
  • Write tomorrow’s “to do list” before going to bed to clear my mind
  • Sleep in or go to bed early at least once a week
  • Learn how to say no. Don’t try to be everything to everyone.
